Good morning friends! I loved hearing your thoughts on the meaning of “clean eating”. I know everyone has a different opinion on it, and I loved hearing all of them.
Speaking of clean eating, guess what I had for dinner last night.
Pizza. Way to contradict myself, huh?
We had bought the dough and it was about to expire so we had to use it. Oh well, it happens. I couldn’t let fresh pizza dough go to waste.
Homemade pizza is definitely healthier than buying it out though. I usually only eat it if it’s made at home. That way I can control what goes on it.
You can always make your own dough, but I just buy the freshly made dough at my grocery stores bakery. That way it’s still fresh and unprocessed unlike the ones you get in the packages.
Last night was a simple one.. mozzarella cheese, ‘shrooms, and spinach. I made it on a little cookie sheet and it came out really good. It’s definitely back to my clean eating today.
Workout
This morning I woke up nice and early to gear up for my usual Thursday run.
I planned to just go and do 3-4 miles, which I normally do for my easy runs. I ended up completing 4 miles plus a cool down.
Check out what I got yesterday!
FINALLY. I’ve been holding my phone on my runs and my headphones would always hit me in the face. It was pure bliss to run without having to hold my phone.
Although that was good, my run was a little…. rough.
First of all, I woke up with a bit of a sore throat.. Boo =/
Then, it was a lot colder than I expected so my little ol’ hands were frozen. Eventually they went numb, but that’s beside the point.
The first half of the run, I was also running INTO the wind. So my lips were chapped, my nose was running faster than my feet, and it was just a bit painful.
Luckily, the second half of the run was warmer because I was running with the wind, but my lips were still chapped and my nose was still running.
If you follow me on twitter, you may know what happened next.
Um, yeah. Here I am, running along (a busy road by the way) and BOOM. I trip over my shoelaces, and fall face forward onto the sidewalk. Only me.
I landed on my hands and knees and just got a little scrape but I’m fine. I literally just sat there laughing for a minute then got back up and ran it off.
A few scrapes never killed anyone. We all have our days.
I foresee some yoga in my future to stretch out. I’m off to tackle the day!
Have you ever fallen during a run?
What’s your favorite pizza topping?
