Hi there! I woke up SO late today. Almost 11 am, but it was due to the fact that I didn’t go to sleep until 3.
I decided to take a Bikram Yoga class last night instead of going for a run. If I don’t run in the morning, it’s very rare that I make it later on that day.
I was thinking about maybe doing my long run today instead of tomorrow, but I don’t think that’s going to happen since it’s already almost noon and there’s about 50% chance of rain today.
Anyway, Bikram was awesome. I really really love it and I wish I could do it more. It’s not too bad of a price for one class, so once in a while it is fine.
I came home starving and made something super quick.
Amy’s black bean soup (new find!) and a baked potato with a dollop of greek yogurt and mango peach salsa.
I loved the soup. I always love black bean soup, but this one was really good for a can. I also loved the greek yogurt with salsa.
So much healthier than sour cream (I don’t even like sour cream), and a really great combo. I also had like 298420938024 carrots while I was waiting, an apple, and a piece of dark chocolate.
I then went and saw the vow at midnight. The movie kind of sucked. It was a little boring and dragged on which was disappointing. But at least I got to look at Channing the whole time.
This morning’s breakfast was a good way to kick start my late day.
Homemade iced coffee, and OIAJ. I added a bit of protein powder and blueberries this time. Hot oats means I need cold coffee otherwise I’d literally be sweating.
Head on over to Lindsay’s blog and check out FLOW!
I’ve been doing this move in a body works class that I’ve been taking and I’ve wanted to share it. It’s definitely challenging but worth it.
It’s called the jack knife oblique workout, I think. Regardless, it’s a good one. I LOVE working my oblique’s and these work them pretty well.
You can put your hand on the ground for support and to make it more advanced, reach your arm up to your toes.
Have you seen any good movies lately?
What workout are you loving?
Plans this Friday?

That baked potato sounds SO delicious! I loooove baked potatoes…but I always forget to by them because of my obsession with sweet ones! I am so mad the vow was bad! I had such high expectations!! Oh well…I will probably still end up seeing it!!
ugh I’m so upset to hear that the movie sucked!! I was kind of expecting it would..I don’t know if you ever saw Dear John? But I thought it was TERRIBLE..and the only positive of it was staring at Channing the whole time haha so I’ll probably still see the Vow for that reason only

One of these days I will get around to trying Bikram! Our facility is pretty pricey, which is what keeps me away. I have regular yoga included in my gym package and use that. But you are one of many who loves Bikram.
Have a great weekend!

Awwww, I wanna’ stay out until 3. Okay… maybe not, but I do kind of feel like hitting the town. Sadly, it’s cold and rainy here, so I think I’ll take a night in by the fire instead. Oh well… maybe next time.

I’d definitely take a night by the fire!
My favorite meal as a kid was a baked potato loaded up with brocolli and cheddar cheese. Delish!

Oh wow that looks like a difficult move -it must make your obliques ache! My favourite workout move at the moment is the reverse crunch, I really feel it in the morning!
I love that you make your own iced coffee, how do you do that? I’d love to be able to do it
My Friday evening has been spent doing a strength workout and curling up with a book, tame but lovely
And my little sister is visiting this weekend so I want to be in good shape to spend time with her!

Love reverse crunches! I don’t make my iced coffee any special way. I just fill my cup completely to the top with ice and then pour the hot coffee over it, it stays cold!
that oiaj looks incredibly delicious — filled to the top!!

I love Bikram, but I agree it is really hard to get to. I always seem to find reasons to not go. Although every time I DO go I am so happy I did.
