Hello friends! Wow, I have seriously been slacking on posting lately.
Life gets in the way sometimes, and this is just one of those times! Only one month left of school for this semester, and SO many other things are happening that I wish I could share with you all.. but I can’t =/
Anyway, just a little update. I’m back in Orlando! I drove up yesterday after a very early back and biceps workout.
I’m on my fourth week of LiveFit! I totally forgot to do a week three recap, but there’s not much to say except it definitely left me SORE. Especially my legs, I couldn’t walk for days haha.
I’m back in the gym today to do legs and excited for cardio next week. Yes, finally!
I went to the store yesterday to restock my fridge and such. I picked up some new to me products that I wanted to share.
Have you all heard of quest bars? Everyone that does LiveFit on the facebook page raves about them so I wanted to see what all the hype was about.
The nutritional stats are awesome, they’re a fairly clean packaged bar.
Very low in sugar, are great ingredients. I tried this flavor and it was good just very chewy.
I also got this flavor but I haven’t tried it yet!
While I was out, I picked up some vanilla protein powder. I have chocolate, but need vanilla for protein bars and such so I got this brand.
This was my first time trying it or even hearing the name, but it’s all natural, no sugar and gluten free.
So far I like it!
I also got this…
What do I do with this!? I tried to make pancakes with it this morning, and it tasted like crap. No lie, the buckwheat has a really strong almost nutty ish flavor? It’s weird.
I need your help to try and make it taste good. Who’s better to ask then bloggers? No one ![]()
I’m off to the gym to work on some legs! Have a good one.
Buckwheat recipes? Go!
Have you tried quest bars? What’s your favorite?
What is your favorite body part to train?

I love the biochem powder but only buy the chocolate fudge flavor!
I have only made buckwheat pancakes and I liked them! I made them with pumpkin, so they were good! Maybe try with pumpkin!!

I’ve never seen quest bars, but then again I live in a different part of the world to you:p They sound awesome, I’ve stopped buyibng many protein bars because of all their ingredients list. I actually use buckhweat flour for my pancakes, usually use 100g flour, 1 whole egg, and the rest milk and water maybe 400 mls of liquid.
I’ve never heard of Quest bars, but I am always looking for a new bar, and coconut is my new love in life

Can’t help ya on the buckwheat! Sorry!! Do share what you learn though
I’ve heard lots about Quest bars through the LiveFit FB group but haven’t tried them myself yet. I know the Vitamin Shop (I think?) carries them but haven’t come across one recently. Honestly, I’ve just been having Clif or Luna bars when needed.
My favorite body part to work out is legs. I hate lunges and all that but my legs are my problem area so it’s a necessary evil!

Wow! I am impressed with the ingredients of this bar. Usually the high protein bars are packed with crap! I will have to look for these.

I’ve been wanting to try Quest Protein bars because they are one of the only bars I’ve seen, like you said, that are clean.

I’ve tried quest bars but they’re not my fave! I don’t know why! I guess I am just a fan of the fruitier bars
I LOVE buckwheat flour! I use it in pancakes and baked goods all the time! Maybe try a recipe from online? You might have better luck!

Try the coconut cashew – AMAZING!!!!
Where did you purchase the protein powder? I’m running low & am in need of better options. I like that the Biochem doesn’t contain sugar and is gluten free!

I don’t really have a fave body part to train, maybe my arms. I prefer spin classes much much more! You should try out one of Ashley’s buckwheat bakes (on edibleperspective.com) they are really good! Or try using it in a protein muffin! I really like buckwheat flour now!

Thank you so much!
I’ve never even heard of those quest bars! I think I’m going to have to give those a try though! They sound really healthy for you! And where did you get that protein?! Looks like a great load of protein without too many added sugars or calories!
I think I got it at the vitamin shoppe!!
I’ve totally been slacking in the post department too. Life is so busy!

Haha this is funny because I bought buckwheat flour a few months ago and I haven’t used it yet either!
I hope you do a post about what you end up doing with it!
Also maybe your pancakes would taste better if you made them with half buckwheat flour and half regular flour??

Probably but I don’t have any other gluten free flours other than brown rice! Check out edibleperspective.com she has a ton of recipes!
Hmm I love Buckwheat is a grain but I dont know about it as a flour…seems like it would be a weird taste to it. I’ll ask my mom for you because I believe she uses Buckwheat flour for something…
Where did you get the quest bars? Those ingredients are awesome..I really want to try them!!
