Personal Favorites

Hello lovelies and happy Friday! Can I just say how happy I am that it’s the weekend?

Even though I have TONS of things to do and will most likely be cooped up inside studying and what not, at least I don’t have to worry about going to class. Score.

I thought I would bring back Friday Favorites and show you guys personal things that I have picked up lately that I am loving.

First up, tea.

I am definitely more of a coffee addict drinker, but sometimes I do crave a little tea after a meal or when I’m cold. I realized that I love fruity tea, and these are amazing!

I’ve tried all of them so far except the black cheery and I love them all. I think the Country Peach Passion is my favorite though.

*Please excuse my horrifying nails*

I have always used vanilla extract but never really got anything else. I decided to try the almond and I absolutely love it. It gives everything a different but nice nutty flavor.

Sometimes I need a bar in a crunch. Whether my homemade protein bars have run out, or I just didn’t have time to make them, I need a quick snack for in between classes.

I love think thin bars, with no sugar and pretty good ingredients. I mean, it could be better, but over all they have pretty good stats.

This espresso flavor is awesome, but the white chocolate and peanut butter are TO DIE for.

So, remember when I said I wasn’t a fan of Sunbutter?

Well, for some reason I picked it up at the store again. After getting it for the second time, I kind of liked it the more I ate it. But, I still didn’t like it enough to buy it again.

I wanted almond butter, but for some reason this was staring me in the face. So I got it. And now I can say I like it. I have joined the sunbutter club. It’s definitely still not my favorite, but I like to have a variety other than just peanut butter : )

My favorite nut butter is DEFINITELY Mara Natha sunflower seed butter, it tastes just like baseball game sunflower seeds mmmmm :) And now I’m totally gonna hit up that cauliflower pizza bite link!

  5. What a fun list! I recently discovered almond extract as well and am kind of obsessed. Almond flavor is always amazing. As for nut butter, I love almond most and my favorite ever was the kind I made at home…maple cinnamon flavored!(recipe on my blog if you are interested!)

  6. I definitely think my favorite nut butter is plain ole peanut butter :) . What can I say…I’m boring haha. I prefer coffee sooooo much more than tea. I love my coffee! I hope your studying goes well this weekend!

I am currently loving the earth balance crunchy peanut butter but what is even better is the crunchy almond butter by kettle foods!!! the only issue with it is that the jar is too small. I love coffee and have to have it every morning and in the evening I love chai tea or just regular lipton!!

Enjoy the weekend; I know I will! My fav nut butter is TJ’s salted, natural, crunchy peanut butter. When I first tried natural pb I hated it, but now I love it. As for tea vs coffee – I usually prefer coffee, but since the coffee at my office is awful, I drink tea M-F.

  14. I love lemon extract for lemon poppyseed muffins and bars! So fresh and zingy! And I am a big sunbutter lover!!!! My favorite brand is Maranatha and it is to die for! I like sunbutter even better than pb I think! But its a close race!

  15. Ok I see SunButter on sooo many blogs- what are the health benefits of it compared to a natural peanut or almond butter? I’m a stickler when it comes to added sugars and oils in that kind of stuff! I love the creamy natural peanut butter by Kirkland the best!

  16. I’m a sucker for almond butter, but I recently bought Barney Butter pb and I’m hooked. It’s really creamy and a little runnier than normal pb which is awesome for drizzling on things – apple slices, oatmeal, you name it! Also the “50 signs you’re a fitness buff” made me laugh out loud at work today. Happy weekend!

love that tea sampler, I’m usually a tea drinker but I started drinking coffee in the last months and I’m hooked, although I haven’t had it all week…my current fav nut butter is good ol PB…i really need to stay away from it! loving your blog found it through another blog, look forward to reading more :) btw what do you put almond extract in?

    • I would die without coffee all week, haha! Aw thank you, Anna! I’m so glad you found me, can’t wait to check out your blog :) I’ve put it in protein pancakes, protein bars, smoothies, etc.

  18. Lisa says:

I absolutely love coffee. Its be obsession. I also drink tea most days too though, I’m always so cold after I eat haha. I actually really dislike almond extract. I’m weird. I think it smells like cherries and I just had artificial cherry flavouring so much, so I can’t use it at all. And I’ve never had sunbutter, I hear lots of people love it though. Just don’t want to waste my money on it in case I hate it! Good luck with all your studying this weekend!!xo

I loveee think thin bars! I think they are great all around! I love coffee AND tea, but I drink coffee more. I used to drink tea errryday, but fell off that wagon. Awesome combo pack! I am boring and love the grind yourself PB at the local health store.

  26. I’ve had the same experience with Sunbutter! Whenever I buy it, I have high hopes, but I find that when I’m eating it, all I’m thinking about is how I wish I was eating peanut butter instead! Maybe it’s time to give it another shot though. You can’t beat the fiber content, that’s for sure! :-p

And on that note, my favorite peanut butter is Whole Foods 365. I think I’ve tried every PB on the market, and this one is still the best (and cheapest). Win-win!

I love adding almond extract to almond milk.:) I usually stick with vanilla, but sometimes I buy coconut for a fun twist. :)

Hope you’re having a FAB weekend, girl! xoxo
