Good morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend and spent some time with their mom!
I surprised my mom with a card and flowers and she cried. Definitely was not my intention, but I guess that means I did a good job.
Also, I didn’t workout all weekend because I got like three shots on Friday.
Yeah, I still go to my pediatrician. Embarrassing?
Anyway, later in the day on Friday, BOTH of my shoulders were SO SORE. I couldn’t even reach for my phone or anything.
I woke up the next morning, even worse. Obviously there was no way I could workout, so I took the day off.
The next morning I still couldn’t raise my hands over my head and mom wanted a rest day, so another rest day was in order.
Of course I wanted to workout, but it wasn’t the end of the world.
Oh well, I made pancakes instead.
They kind of fell apart, but they were still yummy. I made CCK blueberry pancakes but with blackberries instead.
My mom wanted to go to the beach, so off we went.
It was gorgeous! We picked up some lunch at Subway and spent an hour or two at the beach.
Afterwards, we stopped at Publix to get a few things for the week. Then we got all cleaned up and ready for the night.
Our neighbor invited us to a dinner at her dance studio so we went and listened to live music and met a bunch of people.
It was a nice day celebrating all that my best friend does for me <3

You and your mom have a similar smile… great photos, great post. Shots are always hit and miss for me. Sometimes I feel great afterwards, other times it feels like my arm is being repeatedaly punched by the Incredible Hulk right after he drinks 5 Red Bulls… hope you are feeling better.

I hate shots, but I don’t think I’ve ever been sore for three days from them! I hope you’re feeling better now.
Going to the beach sounds like such a perfect way to spend a rest day. I can’t wait to hit up the beach here soon!

I’m so glad you all got quality time together. I’m right with you on the shots… I have found though that the more I use that arm/muscle, the less it hurts.

This sounds like such a fun mother’s day! My mom came to visit me with the rest of my family it was perfect!
I got a tetanus shot a few years back and remember I could not move my arm for a few days either! It was so painful! The aftermath was worse than the actual shot!

So glad you were able to spend a full weekend together having fun. I’m completely jealous that you live so close to the beach, and think I might need to move to Florida. Or come visit you. 
Isn’t it crazy how vaccinations can make us so sore? I had a series of shots before traveling to Africa a few years ago, and couldn’t move my arms for days!

I was floored by how sore I was from my shots last week! I had to get one in each arm as part of my immunizations for a trip to Ethiopia in July. I actually felt bad because I didn’t believe my kids the week before when they said they were sore from their shots. Oops.
