Greetings from Gainesville! (Did I seriously just say greetings?)
I am now relaxing in my comfy hotel bed tired from the drive.
I got a quick workout in while my mom was at work. I combined back and chest into one circuit and worked up a great sweat.
My mom got home from work around 1 p.m. and we had a quick lunch before hitting the road.
Um, yeah. We had NO food. None. So I had a salad with a fried egg, baby corn, goat cheese, and there’s a bit of avocado somewhere in there.
It was POURING rain when we left so we threw everything in the car and got on the road. Of course about a half hour into the drive I had to pee.
Iced coffees, yes please.
The drive wasn’t too bad, it took us a little over four hours to get here.
Woooo!!! My new future home : ) I love it already.
Once we got here we were starving and went to Chili’s for dinner.
2 for 1 margaritas? Ooookay then. I actually only had a few sips, since I’m not of age or anything ; )
We also had some chips with salsa, yum! For my entrée I rolled with the steak and my mom got the chicken and we shared.
Tinyyyyy steak. Thankfully we had the chips as well.
We drove through campus a little bit then hit up the hot tub. Already a great start to the vacation. I have a long day of orientation tomorrow, and it starts super early.

Sounds like a blast so far! Last REAL vacation was Hawaii and it was a dream come true! I definitely prefer plane rides. I drove to Florida once and got SO sick. It was brutal. Dean’s brother was the driver and I think I got sick at least 13 times before we even made it to the border. It took us two days to get there and it was one of the worst things ever. I could probably handle 4 hours though! Have fun!

The last place I went was Vancouver, BC! I like cars for the fact that you can stop and stretch your legs whenever you want, but I like planes because they are SUPER SPEEDY! Have fun!!

Road trips with mom are seriously the best! We never fail to find an excuse to stop for coffee or ice cream…I mean, that’s what road trips are for, right?
The last real vacation I took was to Maui last summer. I did NOT want to leave…those islands are true paradise.

Haha, my family doesnt like to go on roadtrips with me because I have to pee like every hour because I drink so much water!

Ice coffee is a must when traveling…err do anything for that matter
But that whole having to pee every 3 seconds does get annoying for me too! Have so much fun girl, I hope you love it and that the orientation gets you even more psyched!

I prefer road trips – it’s fun to see so many new sights and stop in lots of different places. And as long as you have good music, iced coffee, and good company, they’re always a blast!

I used to go to Chili’s a lot. Clemson has one on campus that accepts the student card that your parents fund; plus, I was a fan of the guilt-free chicken sandwich. Yum!

I hate sitting down for a long time, so I would have to say plane trips I like better. Unless I am with friends..then maybe a road trip. I don’t know..I pee a lot and I need easy access to a bathroom!! Sounds like a fun trip!
