Hey friends, happy Friday! Unfortunately, I work all weekend, so it’s not much of a fun weekend around here. However, I’m getting paid, so how can I complain?

I’m so excited for all of you that are going to HLS! I seriously cannot wait.
I have a couple things to share today, so here goes!
1. Cherries are delicious right now. Go get some.
2. I spent some time cooking yesterday! I love cooking and baking, but lately I haven’t been doing much of it other than quick meals. Such as, grilling, and steaming veggies.
What did I make? I saw a recipe for Michelle Obama’s favorite spinach pie in people magazine, so that’s what I made!
Yum! We had some of it with a side salad and wine with dinner. ![]()
3. Who wants to win a $500 shopping spree? For nothing better than workout clothes? I know I do! I already entered, and you can too.
All you have to do it go to daactive and answer some questions, and you’re entered! How cool is that? The company makes clothes similar to lululemon by using the same type of material. Yes, please!
And how about some motivational pictures? I love these things.
Have a great one!
What was the last thing you made in the kitchen?
Would you rather cook or bake?
Weekend plans?

I wish I could go to the HLS so bad! I’m still on the fence but airplane tickets are just so $$! Mmm-that spinach pie looks great! I totally would rather cook than bake because I feel I get to experiment more!

What an awesome contest! I will definitely be checking it out! I would so much rather bake than cook although I’m more likely to eat what I cook than bake! Really I just love either! No weekend plans just taking it easy and enjoying the sun!

Cherries aren’t in season here yet… but I can’t wait until they are! They taste amazing in a smoothie with chocolate.
I haven’t had as much time to cook/bake lately either since starting my job. There’s just not enough time anymore!

Oh yes I have to agree that summer cherries are the best!! Spinach pie is always a winner too. It’s one of my favorite dishes!
Cherries are AMAZING in LA right now too. I can’t get enough of them!
I definitely prefer cooking to baking. For some reason, I tend to mess things up when I bake. Probably because I constantly alter recipes/make substitutions/etc. when I should just follow the recipe. But, sometimes it works!

That spinach pie looks yum! I just made a trifle…for an event that was then cancelled because of the storms we had here in VA…so someone is going to have to eat it!!!

I love cherries, but I am reluctant to buy them because I once ate too much of them and got sooooo awfully sick… It was NOT pretty at all,and I know if I have them around I will most possibly eat them all the time. Grmbl.

Anyhoo, your soinach pie looks AMAZING! I would so love to have some of it right now.
