WIAW Travel Edition

Before I get into this post, I wanted to say that I have been slacking on the comment reply’s.

I promise I’m reading them, and I appreciate each and every one. I am finally all moved into my new apartment, and school starts tomorrow!

I can’t believe another school year is here, but I’m ready. I guess.

Anyway, since I have already shown you most of what I ate over the weekend in Boston, I figured I would show you the last night and whatever else I didn’t get to show you.

Also, the winner of my giveaway never claimed their prize, so I picked another winner. Head on over to the old post and see if you are the winner at the top of the post!

Now, onto WIAW.

Sunday after walking all around Boston, my mom and I were exhausted. We had a 4 a.m. (holy crap) wake up call the next morning, so we decided it would be best to just eat at the hotel.

The restaurant was super nice. It was upscale and had a good looking menu.IMG_3414

They started us off with some bread. One pretzel bread roll, and one regular.

IMG_3415

Along with some honey-mustard sauce for dipping. I was starving, so I had two pieces of the pretzel bread with the sauce. So good.

For my entrée, I ordered a chicken dish with berry quinoa and vegetables. It had me at quinoa.

It was delicious. I didn’t know the chicken was crispy, but it was. That’s okay though, it was good enough for me not to care.

I had noooo problem finishing it. The hotel restaurant was pretty impressive!

When traveling, sometimes it’s hard to find healthy food in the airport, on the road, etc. I ended up finding some pretty good stuff and brought some stuff as well.

On the way to Boston, I had dinner at my small airport. They only had burger king and Starbucks and a sit-down restaurant.

I ended up buying this ham and Swiss sandwich and had a fruit cup along with it.

Coffee is always necessary. Venti. Especially at 4 in the morning. IMG_7113

Since it was an early morning on Sunday, I needed a snack on the second flight. I had an almond butter packet, that I brought from home, with a banana.

IMG_7114

Along with a Tazo tea that I stole from the hotel.

Not saying you should steal tea from all hotels… but it was complimentary.

Winking smile

Today since I was moving, I packed a lunch for the ride up.IMG_7136

Turkey sandwich and an apple.

IMG_7139

Then I stopped for an unsweetened tea about halfway through the drive.

And that’s it! Have a good Wednesday. Smile

Do you ever pack food when you travel?

Always.

Is there something you always bring with you?

Stevia, always! And some sort of bars usually. And maybe some fruit.

  23. Your dinner at Zephyr’s looks awesome! I didn’t even see that chicken dish on the menu when Meg and I ate there. How did you find the service at the restaurant? They were so slow when we ate there and I got my meal like 15 minutes after Meg’s! I’m hoping it was just a bad night for them though and not the usual kind of service.

I pack food when I travel too. I always bring a jar of soy nut butter and usually some apples, some raw oats to make into oatmeal, and almonds.

Oh, and I ALWAYS snag tea packets from hotels…haha

  26. Hi Brittany,

Chicken Quinoa looks really yummy, I wonder if any restaurant here serves that. I always packed some supplements with me when I used to travel, but not food. First of all I don’t like the thought of it going through airport x-rays (I use to travel only by plane), and second of all it’s much more fun to see what’s new to eat around each city.
