What is better than blends? A blend meet-up of course!
I have “met” so many awesome people through blogging (that’s you guys), but I haven’t actually been able to meet every single one of you. I was SO lucky to have met a ton of bloggers at the healthy living summit (you know who you are, and I miss you all dearly).
Anyway, one of the people I met at HLS and hit it off with was the one and only Cait. We kept in touch and she told me that she would be in my neck of the woods around Christmas time, so we knew we had to meet up.
Well, Thursday was the day – eeeeeek!
*Stolen from Cait’s Instagram/Facebook*
I went over to see her awesome pool-front condo and then we went off to a local plant-based restaurant for lunch.
It was so gorgeous outside – cool breeze, high 60’s with no clouds in the sky.
Outside seating was the logical option since it was such a nice day out, even though the inside of the restaurant was adorable. I wish I had taken a picture, but it was modern, eclectic, and had a really great vibe to it. We immediately knew that we would love it there! Oh, and they had an entire wall of Kombucha. That caught my attention.
Christopher’s Kitchen is an entirely organic, plant-based restaurant. It is also dairy-free which I was happy about, and they had a ton of gluten-free options for people who need it.
Hi, Cait!
There were so many options it was hard to decide what we wanted. They also offered half portions and full portions which made the decision even harder. Maybe I’m just too indecisive? Ha ha.
I finally made a decision and ended up rolling with the “Asian Noodles”. ![]()
Zucchini noodles, cabbage (I asked for this to be omitted), mango, avocado, cucumber, red pepper, pea shoots, mixed herbs, sesame seeds, almond ginger dressing.
YUM. The dressing was delicious and the mango/avocado together was awesome. I’ve never had zucchini noodles before either, and I was definitely a fan.
I ended up just getting the half portion because I figured it would be a “normal” portion like other restaurants, but it ended up being really tiny! I was a bit disappointed in that, and I should have either ordered two halves or a full. Oh well, next time. You live and you learn, right?![]()
Either way, it was absolutely delicious. The only thing better and more important than the food was the company! I loved catching up with Cait and we didn’t stop talking. No surprise there!
I’ve been dying to try this place for a while now, and my mom never wants to go with me, so I was ecstatic that she suggested it. Thank goodness us bloggers understand each other.
Here’s another pic of us at her pool for good measure. Hehe. Blend meet-ups are always the best.
Have you ever had a blogger meet up?

Awww I’m so jealous! It looks like you ladies had a great time though. I love how you can always count on other bloggers to want to check out those “weird hippie restaurants” (as my dad calls them haha) with you.
I want to come visit you in Florida!

Aww, I love that you two reunited!! Two of my favorite blends in one place! Next time, let me know a few hours in advance and I’ll hop down and join you.
Christopher’s Kitchen sounds like a place I’d LOVE. One of my favorite meals of all time was at Pure Food & Wine (raw/vegan) in New York. The flavors in every dish we ordered were amazing, and I felt like my body digested the food really well (better than most meals). It made me wonder if my IBS would improve on a raw diet! However, I could never give up cheese or chicken or fish…or roasted veggies.
Hope you had a great weekend! <3
