Hello, hello! Things have been super busy around here. I’m just getting into the swing of things with my new school schedule, homework, tests, getting back into workouts, gaining muscle, and so on.
Anyway, I totally missed out on the WIAW fun. I haven’t been taking ANY pictures. Literally. Just a few here and there, so I didn’t think it was necessary to constitute a whole post over a few snapshots.
However, I couldn’t stay away so here I am. I decided to procrastinate a bit and check in! What else is new… Here are a few things I’ve been eating lately.
Eggs. Everyday. With looots of spinach and shrooms.![]()
I had Greek yogurt again and DIDN’T DIE. It’s a miracle, people. I’m still not going to overdose, but once in a while it is goood. This is Trader Joe’s plain greek yogurt with lemon liquid stevia, frozen blueberries and Kaia Cocoa Mole Sunflower Seeds. I missed yogurt.
Oats in an almost empty peanut butter jar. Yes. Best breakfast, ever.![]()
Last but not least, my recent dinner love. It’s basically a powerbowl! Sautéed spinach, green beans, steamed carrots, grilled chicken, nutritional yeast, hemp seeds, and coconut aminos. So good.
Aaaand that’s all I’ve got. I really need to start getting back into being a better blogger!
While you’re reading this, I’m probably on the road down south to the beach! Since Monday is a holiday, my mom wanted to take a little road trip and meet somewhere halfway between her and I. We got a nice hotel and I’m looking forward to relaxing and having some good old mother-daughter bonding.

Whenever I travel, I make sure to be prepared with healthy snacks for whenever I get hungry. I am definitely one of those people who bring a separate bag just for food. You gotta do what you gotta do! Here are some food ideas that I find travel well:
- Homemade protein bars
- Quest bars if you don’t have time for homemade
- Raw nuts (any kind – almonds, walnuts, cashews, mixed nuts)
- Nut butter squeeze packets
- Rolled oats (for a quick breakfast or snack)
- Fresh fruit (apples and bananas are easiest to travel with)
- Hard boiled eggs
- Cucumber slices
- Celery (you can eat with nut butter)
- Plain rice cakes
Do you bring food with you when you travel?
What is your favorite thing to bring?
Any plans for the long weekend?

Your recent powerbowl sounds really good!
When I travel I always bring instant packs of oatmeal, fruit, and a couple of protein or granola bars.
Love the tips for on the go meals. I always do the same thing when I travel. It’s just easier to know that I have some things on hand to eat. I love those cocoa mole sunflower seeds. One of my favorites!

Fortunately, my school schedule this semester allows me to eat the vast majority of my meals at home, which is so useful! If I do need to bring it on the go, it’s usually a protein bar of some sort, cottage cheese or yogurt with peanut butter, or leftovers if there’s a microwave available.
And have fun with your mom this weekend!

Lemon liquid stevia is great in greek yogurt! It just adds a little something MORE. My favourite on-the-go snacks are apples, soy nuts, savi seeds and fresh cut veggies!

I like to pack snacks with my when I travel too – it can be so hard to find healthy peanut-free snacks when travelling! I like to pack apples, almond butter, almonds, dried fruit, crackers, and baby carrots.
Have an awesome time with your mom this weekend!

What do you use as sesoning with the spinach/egg/mushrooms? Looks soo good but i am guessing would be bland without seasoning…
Oh man I bring food everywhere I go. I even stop and buy food when I know I am going somewhere that might not have food I like or will eat. That squashes any awkwardness with the house hosts!
Ohhhh your GY bowl looks a lot like mine today

Great tips my friend! Your power bowl looks amazing! I absolutely love all those things, except for cooked carrots ha. For some reason I can’t stand when they are steamed. Man, I tried to reintroduce yogurt and it wasn’t a good time. Sadness. Have an absolute blast with your Mama!

I’ve been eating eggs a lot lately, too. Although I like mine over easy. Great tips for on-the-go food!
I’ve been slacking when it comes to taking pictures of my meals as well… but I mostly blame that on the fact that it always, always seems to be dark or dreary when I want to take a picture. Stupid winter. And speaking of which, I’m super jealous that you’re heading out to the beach! I’m looking out the window right now and it’s just starting to snow. Lovely
Have an awesome time with your momma!
