Still Have an Appetite

Wow, I seriously cannot thank you all enough for all your love and support on my sick update and ER scare. You sure know how to put a smile on this girls face! Smile

I’m definitely feeling better than I was when I wrote my last post, which is good, but it tends to go in and out. One day I’m feeling awesome and the next I am super dizzy and laying in bed again.

I still haven’t worked out (it’s been well over a week), but I sure do still have an appetite! Doesn’t really surprise me, I always have an appetite. Ha.

Also, I went to an allergist yesterday. He tested me for a ton of different mold and foods (to get to the bottom of my stomach issues, too), and guess what?

NO REACTION. Nada. Not to any mold, and not to any food. That was good and bad news, because now I have NO idea what’s wrong. I’ll just have to wait it out until I can see my general doctor.

On the bright side, no sensitivity to any foods? That’s awesome because I don’t have to watch out for anything, but I still have to figure out my triggers by trial-and-error. But that’s a long process, so for now, I can eat whatever I want.


I’m rambling… lets get onto WIAW hosted by the lovely Jenn! This is a gathering of the past week or so.

This was actually from when I was in the hotel last weekend. Egg white oats, strawberries, and peanut butter.

Another random hotel meal that we made. They had a grill which was perfect.

Fruit (strawberries & apples), walnut, and chicken salad. Best combo in my opinion!

Chocolate craving satisfied.. My favorite chocolate microwave muffin doctored up with protein frosting, sunbutter, and shredded coconut. I also had a glass of almond milk on the side.

The easiest steak and vegetable soup. I topped it with Feta cheese. I can post a recipe if you want it! It’s SO easy..

That’s all I have for you. I’ve also had OIAJ literally like four days in a row but never took a pic. I think that’s kind of embarrassing, ha.

WIAW–Rest Day

Hey there, happy Wednesday! It’s time for another round of WIAW thanks to the awesome host Jenn. Make sure you join in if you don’t already. Smile

So for the last three weeks of James’ Body Earned competition, my diet is being tweaked jussst a tad.

The first half of the program, I was eating at a surplus trying to build muscle. That meant lots of carbs and food and no cardio. Man oh man, never underestimate the process of building muscle – it’s hard!


Now that I’m trying to lean out a bit to show off my hard work, I’m eating a bit less carbs than before, more healthy fats, and have added cardio back in. Keep in mind, that does not mean NO carbs, your body still needs some for proper bodily functions.

Even when I have a rest day – which is twice a week right now – I still eat my six meals and get all my food in. Resting does NOT mean you shouldn’t eat food. You still need fuel! So, here’s what I ate on one of my rest days this week.

Meal 1

What a surprise – oatmeal. Ha Smile This is oats, egg whites, almond milk, and topped with sunbutter. The best.

Turkey muffins, sweet potato, and cinnamon. No veggies – oops.

I was on campus, so I packed turkey muffins and almonds. Simple and effective.

That’s it! I generally eat similar things every day, but what can I say, I’m a creature of habit. After the competition ends I will definitely be getting more creative in the kitchen!
